Brasil Ceras created the Carnauba Inclusion Project for Education and Biodiversity with the goal of contributing to the education of young people—children of carnauba harvesters—in the main carnauba-producing regions. The initiative promotes actions that benefit local biodiversity and encourage younger generations to engage in carnauba extraction activities, shaping future producers empowered with knowledge to ensure the continuity of this traditional and sustainable sector.
The project aims to strengthen the carnauba industry by introducing a complementary training course designed to reduce rural youth migration through the promotion of family farming and the generation of jobs and income based on sustainable and organic agricultural practices. The program curriculum includes subjects that cover the structure of the carnauba production chain, human rights, and worker rights and safety.
