At Brasil Ceras, safety and well-being are not just core values—they are guiding principles that shape our daily operations. We understand the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Collective Protective Equipment (CPE) in ensuring the integrity of extractivists working within the carnauba production chain.
Understanding PPE and CPE
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Tools or garments designed to individually protect workers against specific hazards in certain work environments, such as helmets, safety glasses, and gloves.
CPE (Collective Protective Equipment): Refers to solutions or devices that collectively safeguard workers or the workplace environment against risks, including resting tents and sanitary facilities.
Both are essential to maintaining a safe work environment and often operate in a complementary manner.
In 2023, we reached a significant milestone by donating 8,742 personal protective equipment items to these professionals. This initiative reflects our genuine commitment to building a responsible and collaborative supply chain. Together, we are moving toward a safer and more sustainable future for everyone.
