Through the Carnauba Inclusion Project, Brasil Ceras has established a nursery with seedlings of endangered and endemic species of ecological and economic importance, including the Carnauba palm. The seedlings provided by this nursery are used to implement small Agroforestry Systems (SAFs) on the properties of families involved in carnauba extraction.
These agroforestry systems not only promote access to food sources and alternative income for the participating families but also inspire the local community to adopt more sustainable agricultural practices.
