In rural areas of Piauí, where families of extractivists live, access to quality education remains a significant challenge. The lack of infrastructure and resources limits development opportunities for many young people, who often have no means to continue their studies or improve their living and working conditions.
With this scenario in mind, the Carnaúba for Education and Biodiversity Project was created to provide young people from extractivist families with the opportunity to access quality education and the technical knowledge needed to transform their realities.
Today, we are proud to share an inspiring outcome of this initiative: Francisca Larisse Araújo da Silva, one of the project’s students, achieved 1st place in the Agronomy entrance exam at IFPI! 🎉
Through the course offered by the project, Francisca was able to develop her skills and is now set to begin her degree in Agronomy. With this technical knowledge, she will be able to apply innovative practices to strengthen the carnaúba industry and contribute to the well-being of her family.
This is a clear example of how education can transform lives, promote inclusion, and strengthen the carnaúba value chain. Brasil Ceras remains committed to inclusion, education, and sustainability, creating new opportunities for the future of all. 💚
